Cranes Theatre The Neptune

Neptune (Cranes) Theatre

Many years ago I appeared in the play “The Man Who Came To Dinner” which was performed in a Theatre over Crane’s Piano Shop in Liverpool. Does the Theatre still exist please?

Kind regards.

  1. Hello Bill,

yes, and it is currently undergoing a multi-million pound refurbishment and is being renamed after the Beatles manager Brian Epstein as the Epstein Theatre .

  2. Hello Rob,

Thank you so much for the speedy reply! I hadn’t meant to make my message private but at least I got the info from the ‘boss’ himself. Thank you so much!

I am an entertainer now, but in the days I was involved in Merseyside (I used to live in Greasby) I was the Cheshire Mile Champion, and Liverpool & District cross country champion!

    Kind regards.

  3. Mister Bennett,
re Neptune Theatre, the timing of your enquiry is indeed apposite,in that the theatre has very recently undergone a major makeover and is,I’m told, soon to re-open with a change of name[about which I am being deliberately mysterious].The important thing is that this super little bijoux place is going to be brought back into use. Huzzah!.

Watch the media and I suggest you try to be @ the re-opening,seeing as you’ve’trodden thje boards’there.
