I note, with interest, that number 26a was St. Vincent’s refuge for girls (Laundry), I hate to imagine what went on within those walls, after watching the Magdalene Sisters which of course was based in Ireland. Am, so saddened to think that we may have had such horrible institutions right in our midst.
